What to do when I want to play a non GCCIR scheduled Match Or Scrimmage

You DO NOT need approval to play another GCCIR Member.

 Before playing or scheduling a scrimmage or match, That is NOT scheduled by GCCIR.

1: Check to see if the team has the following:

  • Min 15 players not including Admins and coaches
  • Min 1 Coach  (level 200).
  • Has paid $150 to USARUGBY and shows CURRENT You can find this information at http://usarugby.org/rosters

2: Next you will need approval from GCCIR so email to.

3: Next you will need a Certified Referee and you can get one from

Alumni match

This is strictly a scrimmage or match between current college college students and past students (Alumni) of the same school.

1: Your School will need:

  • Min 15 players not including Admins and Coaches
  • Min 1 Coach (level 200).
  • Has paid $150 to USARUGBY and you are showing CURRENT, You can find this information at http://usarugby.org/rosters

2: All players as in all Practices, Scrimmage and Matches must be CIPP.

3: If you need a Certified Referee and you can get one from

4: Alumni playing another Alumni is considered an adult match, therefor the Alumni must be registered with SCRFU or their local governing body.

  • If it shows up on this list and you are current with USA Rugby then you don’t currently need GCCIR approval.

2: The adult club must be in good standing with its governing body and have there approval.

3: GCCIR must have a letter from the school stating, that they allow there rugby sports clubs to play adult rugby clubs.
